Cassie Beresh
Melbourne, VIC

I'm a Melbourne-based journalist studying a combined Bachelor of Arts and Science at Monash University, majoring in Journalism and Biology. The pairing isn't incidental — a science background trains you to test a hypothesis before you trust it, and that same instinct shapes how I chase a story: verify first, write second.

I currently write and report for MOJO News, and previously served as Director of Journalism at Radio Monash, where I built and led editorial coverage across politics, crime, music and community affairs. My reporting has taken me from the floor of a federal election broadcast to the scene of a crime crackdown, from council chambers to green rooms.

I'm drawn to stories at the intersection of policy and people — the human effects of a law, a crisis, or a cultural shift — reported with the same rigour I'd bring to a lab notebook.
